ZEPPELIN DOCUMENTARY ON THE WAY
Written by Malcolm Dome on May 8, 2019
There’s a new Led Zeppelin documentary currently being made.
It’s directed by Bernard MacMahon, who made ‘American Epic’, and traces the band members through music scene of the ’60s. It charts the first band meeting in 1968 and ends in 1970 when their second album, ‘Led Zeppelin II’ reached the top of the US charts, knocking ‘Abbey Road’ from The Beatles out of the number one slot.
Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have all been interviewed for the film – it’s the first time they’ve participated in any documentary on the band, which will also include previously unseen archive footage and photos.
