5FDP To Miss First Show Supporting Metallica

Due to lead vocalist Ivan Moody recovering from a hernia surgery Five Finger Death Punch will miss their first night supporting Metallica in Amsterdam this week. Releasing a statement the band announced ‘as many of you know Ivan recently had surgery to correct an acute hernia injury. The recovery proved more challenging than initially thought and on the advice of his doctors Ivan and Five Finger Death Punch will not be able to perform in Amsterdam with Metallica. Five Finger Death Punch will perform all subsequent scheduled dates. See you in Paris (on May 17th).” Replacing the band will be Nightwish singer Floor Jansen who will play a set in support of her recently released solo album ‘Paragon’.

Metallica’s M72 world tour will consist of 46 shows in multiple countries across Europe and North America into 2024. The mammoth expedition will feature two completely different support acts each night with Architects, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills in the ranks. For veterans of Metallica shows the novelty this time comes with an all new in-the-round stage design as well as full tour passes and discounted tickets for the under 16’s. The juggernaut kicks off on 27th April in the Netherlands with an appearance at this years Download festival gracing us with not one, but two shows.
