Following their signing with EMI the now legendary Iron Maiden had their first taste of mounting success with Di’Anno in December 1979. Di’Anno recorded on their first two major albums, ‘Iron Maiden (19780)’ and ‘Killers (1981)’ before being fired from the band. Over the years the causes of his disagreements with Maiden founder Steve Harris have varied. From alcoholism to differences in their creative and stylistic approaches a lot has been mulled over on both sides. After being replaced by Bruce Dickinson Di’Anno went on to a number of projects including the self titled group ‘Di’Anno’, ‘Killers’ and most recently performing his first live show in 7 years in May 2022 in Croatia.
