JETHRO TULL TO PUBLISH MEGA BOOK

Written by on June 5, 2019

Jethro Tull are publish their official history in November.

Titled ‘The Ballad Of Jethro Tull’, this illustrated history will be put out by Rocket 88. There are to be two versions of this. One will be a ‘Signature Edition’ limited to 500 copies, with each copy signed by Ian Anderson, and encased in a hand-made box containing two art prints specially commissioned for the book from renowned artist Peter Klucik, who also created the cover design. This will also have a special seven inch single, with two songs specially done for this project. The first, ‘The Ballad of Jethro Tull’ is a narrative poem written and read by Ian Anderson over a unique and original mix of classic Tull music, produced by Anderson himself – and named after the title of the book. The other features Anderson reading Walter Scott’s 1808 poem, ‘Marmion’ with musical backing composed for the recording and played by John O’Hara (current Tull keyboard player) on a cathedral organ.

There will also be a ‘Classic Edition’ of this book, with a larger print run, which is to include a download code for these songs.
