Progressive metal wizards SCARDUST, who’s sophomore album STRANGERS was released to ecstatic 10/10 reviews, have been invited to join the world’s premiere progressive power metal legends BLIND GUARDIAN on first leg their 2023 ‘The God Machine’ tour.

Blind Guardian posted “We can’t wait for September and October this year! Scardust will be one of the two support bands for the Blind Guardian “The God Machine” tour 2023! 🤘🏻Progressive metal from Israel meets timeless metal from Germany, what could be better? Rocking the stage on tour from 22nd of September until the 4th of October. We are very excited and can’t wait to go on tour with them. 🤘🏻”

The dates beginning in September will be the first chance to see BLIND GUARDIAN on tour since 2019 and the very first chance to see SCARDUST on a major tour anywhere in EUROPE.  Get tickets for the tour and the brand new album ‘The God Machine’ HERE

2022 saw SCARDUST playing the Wacken and Dong Open Air festivals along with some co-headlining dates in Germany with Eight Lives Down and Walkways also releasing several videos including Concrete Cages – which has topped 325K views – and their recently released epic Disney princess metal medley performed and filmed in a single take!

Singer Noa Gruman says “It’s an incredible honour for us to be chosen to join the legendary Blind Guardian on the first leg of their “The God Machine” tour around Europe. We’ll be playing lots of our favourites from Strangers and Sands of Time but you can expect some new music too. See you on the road in September or October.. and don’t forget to come and say hi!”

Noa also features as a guest lead vocalist on Therion‘s latest records, “Leviathan” and “Leviathan II” (Nuclear Blast), along with her own much-in-demand-metal-choir Hellscore, who also feature on recent albums by Star One and Alestorm. This is in addition to an already-impressive list of recent guest vocal appearances, which include Amorphis‘ 2018 record “Queen of Time” and guest solo tracks on “The Moon “and “Halo”, Orphaned Land‘s 2018 album “Unsung Prophets and Dead Messiahs” and Ayreon’s recently released “Transitus”. Watch out for them on the new Gloryhammer release too!

Formed in 1984 as Lucifer’s Heritage, the band’s original lineup consisted of vocalist Hansi Kürsch, guitarists André Olbrich and Marcus Siepen, and drummer Thomas Stauch.

Blind Guardian proper began as a speed metal band in 1988, but over time they evolved their sound to incorporate more symphonic and progressive elements. They released their debut album, “Battalions of Fear,” in 1988, followed by “Follow the Blind” in 1989 and “Tales from the Twilight World” in 1990. These albums established the band’s sound and helped to establish them as a popular act within the European metal scene.

In 1992, Blind Guardian released “Somewhere Far Beyond”, which marked a significant turning point for the band. Blind Guardian’s sound evolved to include elements of symphonic, progressive, and orchestral metal. The band’s use of orchestration, choir vocals, and intricate arrangements set them apart from other power metal bands of the time and helped to establish them as innovators in the genre.

Over the years, Blind Guardian has continued to release albums and tour extensively. They have also been praised for their dedication to their fans and their innovative approach to music. Today, they are considered one of the most influential and successful power metal bands of all time, and their legacy continues to inspire a new generation of metal musicians.
